I also have a couple administrative notes about the blog. I see from my web stats that I’m picking up more visitors lately; unfortunately only the occasional person comments (thanks, Lydia!). I’d like to encourage participation in the blog. Any ideas?

This blog is going to replace the one over at www.cornerscribe.typepad.com. I’ll be moving (attempting to move…) my old posts from there later this week, so they should be showing up, if things go well. Keep your fingers crossed.

Yep, I’m still around. I can’t believe it’s been so long since I posted, but things do tend to slip away sometimes, don’t they?

I have been busy, and writing has been one of the things keeping me hopping. I’m editing a previous Nano novel, in the hopes that I can get that well underway before this November. This one has percolated for over a year now, and I still feel good about it. That doesn’t mean, however, that it doesn’t need a lot of work!

I’ve been doing a little freelancing on the side for Constant Content. It’s no way to get rich, but I do enjoy making a few bucks off the writing from time to time. There’s also another benefit; it has helped me learn to sit down and write, quickly and efficiently. When you’re getting paid only a few bucks per article, you learn to pull it together pretty darn fast.

My real job (my day job) has been keeping my busy too, which unfortunately eats into my writing time. Blogging has been one of the first things to fall by the wayside. I’m hoping that can change now, since this is something I really enjoy doing.

I’ve been attending a writer’s group twice a month. They’re really nice people, and the crits are good, but I have to decide if it’s worth giving up my already severely limited writing time for. Oh well, I guess I can’t have it all.

For anyone who’s been thinking I completely disappeared…. I haven’t, yet.

I have been busy though. I’ve been working on the novel (February NaNo), but not nearly as much as I should. I didn’t even come close to making 50,000 words this time. How many, you ask? Never mind.

I have been doing some other writing, for a site called write for cash. I’ll post a separate entry about them as well.

I’m back in grad school, finishing my last semester. So, as you can see, I’ve been really, really busy. I do intend to keep the blogs coming at a more steady rate, so come back soon.

I wanted to say thank you to everyone who’s stopped by and visited the site. Please come back soon and often! I try to update the site at least every couple of days. Keep in mind I have a novel underway, so if I haven’t posted in a day or so, I must be on a roll.
