We just got back in town late last night; a friend of ours passed away.

Right now, I’m going to get some much needed sleep. I’ll be working on the posts for the blog carnival tomorrow. This has been pretty successful, so I think I’ll start doing a monthly carnival.

Well, how do you like the new theme?

I got it at themelab as a free download. I have to say it is the most painless install of a wordpress theme I’ve EVER done. I only had to do a couple code edits, and those were very simple.

If you’re looking for a new wordpress theme, check these guys out. They have quite a few nice-looking free ones, and if they’re all this easy to install, even better.

I got a fun case of food poisoning earlier in the week, and now that I’m feeling better, I’m playing catch-up in a lot of areas. Bear with me.

Yes, I’m still here. I’ve been telling myself how busy I am, what with spring and yard work and new kittens born to “our” stray cat. Then there was my birthday and Mother’s day (and the shawl I very nearly finished for my mom).

The truth is, though, my creativity has been running a bit low lately, and I just couldn’t bring myself to write for the blog, or for anything really. I’ve been getting the itch the last few days though, and I’m hoping that my little hiatus will have me back and feeling inspired.

In short, I’m back.

I’m making some theme changes tonight, so if things look odd for a bit, that’s why.

Sorry about being away so long, but I’ve been down with the worst case of the flu I’ve had since I was a kid. I’m still not feeling particularly well, but I wanted everyone to know I’m still here.

I’ll try to get a post up tomorrow, if my head quits hurting long enough.

The blog seems to be having some issues today. It’s available sporadically, and I’ve turned in a ticket, but I’m not sure what’s up. Please be patient (I’m trying to be, and failing miserably!)

Looks like I may be moving the blog after all, but we’ll see.

I’m working on my Nano goal of 2000 words today, so no more posting until later. I can’t keep a reliable connection anyway. Sorry everyone!

I’m pretty frustrated with my hosting company. My RSS feed is broken again, because they block feedburner IP addresses because feedburner takes up too many resources.

I’m still trying to digest that.

They turn it on and off periodically, which really makes matters worse. As soon as I get used to the feed working again, poof, it’s gone. I have yet another help desk ticket in, but I’m seriously considering moving the blog to another server this weekend.

If it comes to that, I’ll let you know!
